Junior River Racing Update 2/6/26
This summer, kids from our community will be racing boats on the wild rivers of Southern Oregon and Northern California.
Currently, four local high schools (Grants Pass, Hidden Valley, North Valley and Illinois Valley) are building the junior race boats in their shop classes.
High School students are welding, assembling, and rigging the boats that kids will race this season as part of the Cal-Ore Junior River Racers program. We are preparing the next generation for skilled careers and safe boating.
If you have a child who might want to race this summer, get involved with their HS shop Class, or if you just want to follow along as these boats get built and hit the water. We will be updating you here, on Facebook, and via email.
